A hot day in the sun

The Mile High NHRA national drag races are in town this weekend.

We ended up with Top Eliminator club tickets for the Saturday event..

So, my brother and I make the trip to Morrison Co to Thunder Mountain to take in the qualifying rounds.

The temps made it above 100deg F in the afternoon, good thing we had an air conditioned tent to escape to

Even with the launch pad being water cooled at the start line the track temps were above 122deg.
The fuel cars had trouble making it down the track without smoking the tires..
